ABOUT ME
Auditing, Development and Implementation of Food Control Plans, National Programmes and Food Safety Consultation
I have over 20 years experience in the food industry, having worked in and with a wide variety of food sectors. My strengths are with high risk products and ready to eat foods.
I have a strong auditing, food safety and quality background, including food safety and quality management experience with some of New Zealand’s largest manufacturers and retailers. I have implemented new quality management systems on a multi-site level, along with cost saving measures for large companies with complicated microbiological testing plans.
My approach is professional and with an intention of adding value to a client's organisation, whilst establishing the required level of compliance and achievable outcomes. I can provide focus on systematic, independent audits of my clients’ management systems to confirm compliance; identifying strengths in programmes, and areas for improvement.
I am currently a recognised person with MPI, working as a verifier for Custom FCPs, NP1, NP2 and NP3, and a guest lecturer at Auckland University, working with post graduate students studying Food Science. I also work with industry, and have QA roles with some of my valued clients.
I value a fair and honest approach in my work ethic, which hopefully makes every aspect of my work, and those I work with, enjoyable.
